On September, 10, volunteers of LVC together with the activists from the Lviv Jewish Community started cleaning up the Jewish cemetery in Lviv.
From year to year the cemetery becomes more and more neglected. There are objective and subjective reasons for this.
Our volunteers began to collect piles of roadside trash, at the same time cleaning up the monuments facing the central alley of the cemetery.
The volunteers have found they needed specific equipment to remove the old trees.
LVC initiates a dialog with the city authorities about the necessity of maintenance of the Lviv Jewish cemetery.
